Cold War Radar

Borden

Within radar, many positions were needed.  While the controllers and technicians are usually the people first thought of, others were important as well.  One of these groups was the Aerodrome Control Assistants who helped with air traffic control, vectoring and landing planes.

These people were educated at CFB Borden for eight weeks in areas outside of radar such as communications, rescue, and control towers.  Once they reached pay level five they could move on to their radar training.
